As part of the 22nd Bolivian Geological Congress, on Tuesday, November 15, researchers from La.Te. Andes took part in a field trip during which they traversed a transect between La Angostura and Bermejo in the Department of Santa Cruz, surveying a stratigraphic section representative of the Bolivian Sub-Andes.
Congress participants had the opportunity to examine the section, which features rock outcrops corresponding to the main formations that constitute hydrocarbon reservoirs in the country and belong to the Devonian, Carboniferous, Permian, Cretaceous, and Tertiary periods.
The activity, designed to illustrate a typical section for individuals involved in research and exploration work in the Sub-Andean region, was led by Dr. Alejandra Dalenz Farjat (Geomap).
