Multi-company Technical Staff Visit as Part of the International Conference and Exhibition (ICE) 2019

On Monday, August 26, we welcomed a multi-company technical staff to the facilities of LA.TE. ANDES S.A. This group is involved in hydrocarbon exploration and development in both offshore and onshore areas across various producing basins around the world. Among the companies that participated in this visit and technical-methodological exchange were ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, Vaalco, SM Energy, and Karoon, among others.

The visit to LA.TE. ANDES S.A. took place within the framework of the 2019 International Conference and Exhibition (ICE) of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), in which technical and management staff from LA.TE. ANDES S.A. served as instructors for Field Trip 03, titled Andean Compressive Deformation Affecting a Brazilian Pre-Salt Stratigraphic Analogue. Exploring the Cretaceous-Paleogene Boundary, Salta Province, Argentina, held from August 24 to 26, 2019.

The professionals from LA.TE. ANDES S.A. showed visitors our company’s facilities and equipment and explained the activities and technologies applied to the Oil & Gas System, with the aim of reducing associated risks. In this regard, information was provided about the Production Units currently offered by LA.TE. ANDES S.A.:

Cron.Ar. Thermocronology-Geochronology. Fission Track Dating (AFT-ZFT), (U-Th-Sm)/He (AHe-ZHe), and U/Pb. Application to chrono-kinematic models of deformation and modeling of petroleum systems.

Andino 3D. 2D-3D and 4D structural modeling software, incorporating Time-Temperature data generated at LA.TE. ANDES.

Cri.Ar. Cryogenic Superconducting Magnetometer. High-resolution paleomagnetism for the hydrocarbon and mining industries.It was an opportune moment to showcase the technical and production capabilities of LA.TE. ANDES S.A., including its installed capacity and ongoing R&D initiatives, with a view toward potential collaboration with the companies that participated in the visit.
