The officials toured the laboratory facilities on a guided tour led by the institution’s staff and also attended a detailed presentation on the company’s achievements and outlook given by Roberto M. Hernández, President of LA.TE. ANDES S.A.
The presentation, titled “LA.TE. ANDES, Comprehensive Public-Private Project. A Form of Unity (Symbiosis),” detailed the economic and timeline aspects of Project CENTEC 005 of the Argentine Technology Fund (FONTAR), under which LA.TE. ANDES S.A. was established as a joint venture. Additionally, the presentation covered the characteristics of the company’s current production units: Cron.Ar, Cri.Ar, and Andino 3D; future R&D lines related to production systems; and future commercial ventures derived as spin-offs.
It is important to note that LA.TE. ANDES S.A. is a project selected by the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Promotion in the CENTEC 005 call for proposals in 2015, declared a “success story” for meeting all established objectives in a timely and proper manner (construction of the laboratory building, acquisition and installation of equipment, training of personnel, certification by international entities).
