Communications Meeting of the Argentine Paleontological Association
November 23–25, 2022, Salta, Argentina
As part of the 2022 Communications Meeting of the Argentine Paleontological Association (RCAPA), held in the city of Salta, the LA.TE. ANDES was invited to participate with a presentation aimed at introducing the Argentine paleontological community to current geochronological and thermochronological analysis capabilities, as well as ongoing and future R&D&I initiatives. In this regard, the presentation covered the Center’s organizational structure, its technical facilities, and a methodological breakdown of the analyses, highlighting their potential for application and interpretation across various geological and paleontological scenarios (evolutionary lines, migrations, paleogeographic variations, chronostratigraphic control, etc.).
Furthermore, as part of this prestigious meeting, an in-person visit to LA.TE. ANDES was organized with RCAPA attendees, during which a tour of the facilities was conducted, following the methodological workflow of the services provided (U/Pb, (U-Th)/He, fission traces, among others).
Both areas gave rise to an interesting technical-methodological exchange and the planning of potential collaborations with various organizations within the national scientific system.
