Based on the results of the numerical modeling, temperature ranges, ages, and rates of burial and exhumation linked to tectonic events were also obtained. Work was conducted on various platforms capable of combining data processing using multiple thermocronometers and results from several samples simultaneously. The data used for modeling come from studies previously conducted in cratonic zones of Brazil with reactivations during the Mesozoic-Paleogene, orogenic systems in Aachen, Germany (Variscan Front), and the Andes.

Some of the researchers attending this course will continue their training at Heidelberg University, Germany, during March and April, completing their education on new methodologies applied to the processing of samples for fission track analysis in zircons.

During the second half of February, a refresher course was held for researchers at La.Te.
