Thermochronology is providing new tools to better understand the tectonic history of the Andes.<\/p>\n\n

At the AAPG Rockies and Andes Geosciences Technology Workshop 2026, held in Lima, Peru, LA.TE. ANDES S.A. shared new results related to the tectonic evolution of the Subandean system.<\/p>\n\n

Our General Technical Coordinator and Director Juan I. Hern\u00e1ndez participated as Keynote Speaker, presenting:<\/p>\n\n

Multiple Thermochronometers Applied to the Quantitative Analysis of Pre-Andean Events: The Southern Subandean Fold and Thrust Belt of Bolivia \u2013 A Complex Scenario.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

The study integrates multiple thermochronological systems, numerical modeling and geological constrains, to reconstruct the thermal evolution and exhumation history of the Southern Subandean belt in Bolivia.<\/p>\n\n

\"LA.TE.<\/figure>\n\n

Additionally, Alejandra Dalenz Farjat from GEOMAP S.A. presented research addressing the structural evolution of the northern Subandean region and its exploration implications for southern Peru.<\/p>\n\n
